Trusting the Signs You Receive from a Loved One

Has something strange or ‘out of the blue’ happened in your life after the passing of a loved one? Have you thought to yourself that it was more than a coincidence or some random act of fate?

I’m here to tell you… It's important to trust those feelings.

Most people desperately want to experience ‘a sign’ after someone they love passes away. They want to feel connected; like that person is still there and with them. However, at that very same time, many are quick to ignore the signs they desperately seek; the ones that are often right in front of us. And some people even brush them off as something else entirely.

How Do You Learn to Read the Signs Without Coming to See Someone ‘Like Me’?

I’m not here to convince you to not see a Medium. I love what I do and I feel blessed to connect people with their loved ones, each and every day. And some people need that validation, connection, and compassion that comes with working with a Medium… especially in early loss. But, the truth is, your loved ones are sending your messages constantly. It’s just opening yourself to Spirit that makes all the difference.

You might be thinking that sounds crazy, and I get it. If you’ve read my story, when my gifts began to show themselves, I absolutely believed I was going crazy. And thankfully, the right people were placed in my life at the right time to walk beside me on my path.

And it’s important to understand that Mediums are here to bridge that gap that most people wouldn’t be able to walk through their own.

On another note, let’s consider what ‘communication’ actually means.

Is your deceased loved one going to appear out of thin air, sit down at the kitchen table and have a conversation with you? Probably not. And consider this… how would you react if that actually did occur!

But, if you ask them to send you a sign, or let you know that they are there, you might be surprised.

The love they display might appear to be little coincidences in your life. I have clients that report many beautiful signs that their loved ones are showing their presence; one finds dollar bills everywhere they go (that’s a nice offering, right?). Many people see their loved one’s favorite insect or animal whenever they are out and about.

It’s easy to brush off these instances, or ignore them completely as ‘coincidence’ but when you start looking for the signs and accepting them for what they are, there’s no denying the messages are for you.

My very first client had an eagle show up on her back deck just hours after her son had passed. She was in denial at the initial occurrence. As the next few days passed, the eagle kept making his appearance. The day she laid her son’s body to rest the eagle was at the burial and my client knew it was a sign from her son. He was letting her know he was good and at peace. She told me that she wished she had spent more time taking in the beautiful and powerful presence that was in her very own backyard, but she was thankful for her son’s persistence and thinks of those moments even to this very day.

The Desire to Communicate

Our loved ones want to communicate with us. This is especially true if we ask for it, and want some reassurance that they’re okay. They don’t want us to be fearful or sad or worried about their well being. So, they are typically happy to do whatever they can to get rid of those worries for us.

And keep in mind, as a medium, I don’t bring forth someone who has passed on. Rather, they validate the fact that that person is still with you, and wants to communicate with you. Of course, that communication looks a bit different through a medium, but it can help you to realize that you’re not alone and the signs you’ve been seeing are more than just coincidence.

If you truly want to feel a connection with someone you’ve lost, talk to them. Ask them to send you some kind of sign that you can use for validation. But, then the ball is in your court. It’s up to you to pay attention to those signs and be grateful for them. When you start noticing things that may seem out of the ordinary, coming to see me (or any medium) can help to confirm that your loved one is trying to connect with you. When you’ve been longing for that connection, there is truly no better feeling than to know it’s real.
